Cooking in Croatia + Health Journeys + Golden Girls Pact
Written by Rebecca
Inspired by Dee Dee + Laura’s conversation in Episode 4 of Season 2 of the INTERWOVXN Podcast
Dee Dee and Laura's discussion while vacationing together in Croatia was such a testament to the power of friendship and the many facets of a chosen sisterhood. Amidst health challenges and loss there is so much love, passion, and adventure that these two so beautifully weave into their lives and relationship. And we love their modern-day Golden Girls pact!
Their conversation touched on so many layers of life and long-term relationships–the ways in which we show up for, comfort, and celebrate with those closest to us (and our greater community). And that sometimes , although difficult, our people go through things that they have to walk alone . From supporting (or giving tough love) to a loved one with addiction to questions about genetic testing or what to expect when getting your first colonoscopy to fighting for reproductive rights for all women, their chat inspired us to dig deeper and live fuller.
Our first question after their conversation was… What did you learn to cook in Croatia?
